“L’India assale, prende alla gola, allo stomaco.
L’unica cosa che non permette è di restarle indifferente”
(India assails you; it grasps you by the throat, by the stomach.
The only thing it doesn’t let you do is to remain indifferent)
Tiziano Terzani
For some reason, India was never at the top of the list of places I wanted to visit. In fact I never considered it … until September 2014.
The trip arrived by chance, and thanks to an educational trip organised for travel agents, I found myself visiting the beauties of the South: Tamil Nadu and Kerala.
Right from the first moment, I felt a very strong energy and particular empathy with the people.
Since that moment I have returned several times.
I have visited the famous RAJASTHAN and the wonders of the Maharajas: palaces, forts, museums and the Taj Mahal with its truly disarming beauty.
I returned to TAMIL NADU to rediscover the authenticity of the Indian people and to relive the spirituality of its magical temples. The temple of Meenakshi in Madurai, together with the temple of Rameshwaram and Tiruvannamalai are some of the most important sacred places and pilgrim destinations for the Hindu people.
In the very green KERALA, homeland of the Ayurveda, we find the ancient Kochi. From here it is easy to reach the Backwaters: a labyrinth of waterways flanked by rice paddies, villages and Hindu temples. Kerala also has important plantations of tea and refined spices and various Nature Parks.
And KARNATAKA, a region little known by traditional tourism which has one of the sacred places and World Heritage sites: Hampi. In this magical and unique place in the South of India, you breathe Shanti : the atmosphere of “being at peace”.
Now I have understood that nothing comes by chance and that when “Mother India” calls, nothing can stop the journey. India, a country of incredible contrasts, sows small seeds that with time become trees.
It will be a real pleasure to create itineraries to help you discover this Country. Listen to my stories, follow me and you will discover the different souls of India which will touch you deeply…
